Insignia NS-L26Q-10A Review

This rich glossy black look is perfect for the looks of the TV. All the ports are placed at the rear and sides. Being supported by a swivel stand makes it easy to personalize the settings as you want to. Besides showing off a great picture quality, this HDTV has all the components of an economical HDTV. The front panel is entirely free of all embellishment except for an LED light at the bottom right corner of the TV. The remote is quite well considered with about 50 buttons arranged efficiently on the surface. It fits quite securely into the hand and is trouble-free to use for navigation purposes.

The brightness tends to stay on the screen even if the screen is diminished to a entirely dark one. The contrast ratio of 2500:1 is not very well resulting to poor black levels. This is an intrinsic problem of all LCD panels but it has become a bit more exaggerated in the Insignia NS-L26Q-10A. The brightness level is quite marvelous being a good 450 cd/m². The color temperature is also within the set limits providing for a grand viewing experience. But there are various problems involving blurring and artifacting. But these effects are not very perceptible.
even though there is a setback with the screen reflections, it is not very disturbing. And because of the 3D Y/C digital comb filter, the noise is filtered out leaving a lucid and crisp picture. The viewing angle is pretty fine, being 176 degrees for both the horizontal and vertical directions.

This makes sure that you acquire a good view of the TV even if you are seated a bit afar from the TV. The audio is good with its two 5W speakers but it could still have been enhanced. But the Insignia NS-L26Q-10A is very conscientious about adhering to the Energy Star requirements.
This HDTV is quite inclusive with respect to the features you will be expecting on any set. Connectivity options are respectable in this set. There are 2 HDMI which can be applied to input high definition programming. The added ports in the sides and rear include 2 composite, 1 component, 1 S-video, 1 PC and 1 RF input. With the swivel stand, you can access these ports quite effortlessly. The PC input lets you change the TV to a computer monitor and look at all your applications on high definition. With a price tag of $329.99 MSRP, it is set to provide rigid competition to the other HDTVs in this series.
